LoadLog is built by RDC IT Solutions Ltd, a UK software company registered in 2005. Our background isn't in waste management. It's in payments: nearly 28 years supporting and developing systems for financial institutions, including card processing, clearing and settlement, and the testing infrastructure that keeps those systems reliable and compliant.
We're telling you this rather than glossing over it because we think it matters more than a waste industry background would. DWTS is, underneath the environmental purpose, a data and API problem: a mandatory format, a regulator's system on the other end, real penalties if you get it wrong, and a deadline that isn't moving. That's the exact kind of problem we've spent our careers solving, just for a different regulator.
We built LoadLog because we could see permitted waste sites facing a hard deadline and a choice between doing this on paper or spreadsheets, or buying enterprise software built for operators ten times their size. We knew we could build the integration properly and price it for a small site rather than a national one. We're not going to pretend to be waste experts. Getting your data to DEFRA correctly and on time is the part of this job we know best, and it's the part we've put the most work into.

Why we built it
The Environment Act 2021 means every permitted waste receiving site has to record incoming loads digitally from October 2026. The enterprise systems built for this kind of job, AMCS and Access Weighsoft among them, start from around £400 a month and are designed for large, multi-site operators with dedicated IT support. For a skip yard or a single transfer station logging a handful of loads a day, that's a lot of system, and a lot of cost, for a fairly simple job.
We built LoadLog to be the right size for that job: a straightforward way to record loads, capture signatures and send completed Waste Transfer Notes to DEFRA, priced and designed for a small operation rather than a national one.
How we handle your data
All LoadLog data is hosted in the UK, on Supabase infrastructure in the EU-West-2 region, encrypted both in transit and at rest. Every action taken on your account is logged in a complete audit trail, so you have a full record for your own compliance evidence as well as ours. RDC IT Solutions Ltd is ICO registered and built to GDPR standards from the ground up. Carrier verification checks run against the Environment Agency's public register, so the data you rely on to vet a carrier comes from the regulator itself, not a third-party copy.
What's next
From October 2027, waste carriers, brokers and dealers will be legally required to digitally initiate waste movement records of their own. LoadLog will extend to support carrier accounts ahead of that date, so carriers can create, sign and share digital WTNs directly with the receiving sites they work with, and receiving sites can confirm receipt digitally, closing the loop on both ends of the transfer.
