Free waste transfer note generator
Fill in the load details and print a clean waste transfer note, or save it as a PDF. Nothing you type leaves your browser: there is no account, no upload and no storage.
For non-hazardous waste. Hazardous waste movements use consignment notes instead.
From 1 October 2026, permitted receiving sites in England and Wales must record every load digitally and submit it to DEFRA Digital Waste Tracking Service within two working days. This tool produces a paper transfer note; it does not submit anything. See how digital waste tracking works.

Hint: in the print dialog, choose Save as PDF to keep a copy.
We keep a count of how this tool is used: the time, the number of items on the note, whether it was hazardous, the page that referred you here, and a hash of your IP address that is regenerated each day. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Is the waste transfer note generator free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, needs no account and stores nothing you type.
Does it submit anything to DEFRA?
No. It produces a printable note. From 1 October 2026, permitted receiving sites must record loads digitally through the Digital Waste Tracking Service within two working days, and a paper note alone will not meet that duty. LoadLog handles the digital side.
Can I use it for hazardous waste?
No. Hazardous waste movements use consignment notes instead; this generator is for standard non-hazardous waste transfer notes.
