Digital waste tracking for anaerobic digestion and biomass plants

AD plants live on a constant diet of feedstock. Garden waste, food waste, crop residues and food processing material arrive all day, and from October 2026 in England and Wales every load in has to be recorded digitally and submitted to DEFRA within two working days.

LoadLog records each delivery where it happens, at the gate or the intake office, from a phone or tablet. The waste type, EWC code, weight, carrier and vehicle details go in once, and the record submits to DEFRA automatically.

Feedstock checks happen before the load is tipped. LoadLog checks the carrier registration against the Environment Agency's public register, so nobody is taking the driver's word for it.

Sites that weigh every load can keep their weighbridge system and put its exports to work. Export the day's tickets as a CSV and import them into LoadLog; the columns are matched automatically, nothing is created until you approve the preview, and the loads arrive as drafts ready to review and submit in one batch.

The sample library includes ready-made templates for AD feedstocks, covering crop residues and plant tissue, food processing waste, and liquid dairy waste, so the regular streams are a tap away.

Compliance Lite is free until the end of 2026 for anyone who signs up before October. AD operators can meet the first year of the mandate without paying a subscription.
