Digital waste tracking for landfill sites

Landfill sites take the heaviest traffic in the industry. Mixed municipal waste, construction and demolition arisings, and cover soils all arrive by the lorry load, and every one has to be recorded digitally and submitted to DEFRA within two working days from October 2026.

LoadLog records each load at the weighbridge office, with the waste type, EWC code, weight, carrier and vehicle details captured once and submitted automatically.

The carrier registration check happens before the load is accepted, against the Environment Agency's public register.

For sites where every vehicle is weighed, the weighbridge already holds the data. Export the day's tickets as a CSV and import them into LoadLog; nothing is created until you approve the preview, and the day's loads arrive as drafts ready to submit in one batch.

The sample library includes templates for the common landfill inputs: mixed municipal waste, mixed construction and demolition waste, and soils and stones. Inert-only sites use the same workflow with the codes that suit inert waste.
