Digital waste tracking for MRFs and recycling facilities
An MRF takes in mixed loads and sorts them into value. Paper, card, plastics, glass and metals arrive from kerbside collections and transfer stations, and from October 2026 every incoming load has to be recorded digitally and submitted to DEFRA within two working days.
LoadLog records each load at the weighbridge office or the intake desk. The waste stream, EWC code, weight and haulier details go in once, and the record submits to DEFRA automatically.
Before a load is accepted, LoadLog checks the carrier registration against the Environment Agency's public register.
Facilities that weigh every vehicle can export the day's weights as a CSV and import them into LoadLog. The columns are matched and remembered, a preview shows exactly what will be created, and the loads arrive as drafts ready to submit in one batch.
The sample library includes MRF templates for mixed packaging, paper and cardboard packaging, and MRF residue, so the common streams are one tap away.
Compliance Lite is free until the end of 2026 for anyone who signs up before October, so a facility can run the first year of the mandate without paying a subscription.
