Consignee return

Any consignee that receives or rejects hazardous waste must send a quarterly return to the Environment Agency, listing each consignment. This covers permitted and exempt sites, service depots, businesses moving their own waste between premises, and sites that reject a load. The return goes separately to the Environment Agency and to the waste producer or holder: you cannot send copies of the same document to both. The deadline for July to September is 31 October, and for October to December it is 31 January. This page covers England. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland publish their own return guidance.
