Hazardous waste consignment note (HWCN)

The document that must accompany a movement of hazardous waste, instead of a standard waste transfer note. A consignment note carries a unique consignment code and is kept for three years. Pre-notification to the regulator applies in Scotland and Northern Ireland, but was abolished in England and Wales in April 2016.
